Floor Maintenance Tips
Here are some simple tips to keep your floor looking amazing!
To clean your epoxy floor, you want to use gentle, non-abrasive cleaners that preserve the finish and don't break down the coating. Here's what works best:
🧼 Everyday Cleaning
Blower: Blow floor debris outside.
Soft dust mop or broom: Use daily or as needed to remove dirt and grit.
Warm water + microfiber mop: For quick cleanups, plain warm water works great.
🧽 Deeper Cleaning
Use a blower to clear the floor of leaves and other debris
Mix the following in a mop bucket:
1 gallon of warm water
2–3 ounces of ammonia
Wet the floor with the solution and dislodge dirt sand residue build up with a stiff bristle brush (deck brush)
Hose off the floor and push out the excess water with a long squeegee
For oil stains, spot clean using a mild, non-soapy degreaser.
Be careful when your floor is very wet as it can be slippery.
⚠️ Avoid:
Vinegar
Citrus-based cleaners
Bleach
Harsh degreasers
These can dull or damage the topcoat.
Also avoid using soapy solutions (may leave a film on the floor and be very slippery when wet)
🚫 Never Use:
• Abrasive pads or steel wool
• Acid-based cleaners (like vinegar or CLR)
• Steam mops
